Making Memories Where They Lived

When a photo session includes quiet neighborhood streets, rice paddies, exploring abandoned buildings, stopping for rice and bubble tea, crossing busy streets and family cuddles, what else could you ask for??!!?!

I was honored to photograph a fellow expatriate family who has lived in Taichung for almost a decade(!!) before they leave one island nation for another. This family has grown from two to five here, and made innumerable memories along the way while observing vast changes in the landscape of the city and country.

In collaboration with both parents we chose to photograph them a bit outside their home, their immediate neighborhood, as well as just a little bit further outside of their neighborhood to really capture a sense of their family right now, as well as where they have really lived here.

Although I no longer live in Taiwan, I do travel to photograph families where they live…and at this time meet the majority of my families in Portland for family photo sessions. If you would like to talk about planning your next family photo session, reach out via my contact form. I look forward to hearing from you.
